My Night Time Skincare Routine (Dry skin) + Reviews

Skincare can be very intimidating especially with the different products that exist in the market it can get a bit o confusing , but the most important thing i think is to get to know your skin , its type , what does it need on a day to day basis, for instant i had dry/combo skin now i have dry skin onlyso i was in the hunt for products that suits my skin best .
In this Post i'm going to share with you my night skincare.
I try to keep my routine as simple as possible and i change it depending on what my skin needs on a daily basis .

Night routine

As you can tell from the picture below i use quite a few products :

1 - I start by taking off everything by soaking up a cotton pad in Bioderma and then i apply it with circular motions until i'm pleased with the result, and i move on to my eye makeup remover which is my holy grail remover, it's the Garnier express 2 in 1 , i soak a cotton pad and i put it on my lids for a few seconds and it literally removes everything with 2 swipes (Bioderma is literally the best face makeup remover that i have ever used ,i highly recommend it. Garnier express 2 in 1 is very affordable yet very easy to use and the best part is it does not irritate the eyes so it's perfect for sensitive eyes )

2 - In order to make sure that my face is really clean , i use the Shiseido deep cleansing foam once i wet my face and then i massage the product in and i rinse it off with water ( This product is a bit drying but it does a great job in cleansing my face , so if you have an oily skin you will love it even more)

3 - I use for a second rinse the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit face wash  (This product is a perfect dupe for The Shiseido deep cleansing foam except that it is less drying which is a Bonus!)

4 - As for a toner i spray on my Beloved Thermal water from Avéne which is great if you have sensitive skin like me ( This thermal water is like magic it soothes , and tones down the redness , and it can also be used as a makeup setting spray for a dewy finish)

 Products mentioned

5- And finally i apply my night cream which is Nuxe Reve de Miel ultra comfortable face cream and my Bioderma eye cream .( Nuxe reve de miel is a very nourishing face cream for dry/extreme dry skin , the smell is to die for , and it's a very nourishing moisturizer you can feel that your skin is plumped up after using it , i wake up with the most soft rested face ever )

6- And the last thing that i do , is a apply some of the La Roche Posay Effaclar "M"if i have any breakouts and it always works like a charm the next morning i always wakeup with my breakouts fading away .

Skincare is a very personal thing , my skincare routine changes depending on what my skin needs and what is the most comfortable product to use in certain periods .

Review : Lancome Photogenic Lumessence

As you can tell from the picture below this is a well loved product , i have used it till the last drop . Now i don't use foundations as much , i prefer light natural coverage so on a day to day basis i stick to a bb cream or a bit of concealer .
I bought this foundation a long time ago and i mainly bought it to wear it on special occasions when i need something long wearing and when i don't have time to retouch my makeup .
This  foundation claims to bring 14 hours comfort to the skin by giving you a long lasting glow and it also provides an SPF of 15 (Which is great for daytime , but not so great for flash photography).
I'm going to jump right off to the pros and cons :

This is what the product looks like
This is my used up version

PROS :
  • Very hydrating if you have dry skin you will love it
  • Long lasting , it lasts for a good 10 hours
  • High coverage, it covers blemishes and evens out the skin just with one layer ( so at least for me it was not a day to day product as it does not have a natural coverage)
  • You will like it if love heavy coverage foundations
  • It provides a gorgeous glow to the skin , Not shine , Not oiliness but Radiance!
  • A little bit goes a long way

CONS:
  • You won't like it if you expect to be light on the skin
  • You won't like it if you have oily skin
  • Need to be blended really fast or else it will cake up
  • On the expensive side
  • Only available in five shades  ( mine is 01 beige albatre)

The Verdict:

As i have dry skin i enjoyed wearing it , it is very hydrating and it evened up my skin just fine , it provided me with a subtle glow that i loved but on photos it was a bit problematic as it has an SPF of 15, If you can grab a sample before buying it it will be perfect but if you can't and you have dry/mature skin as well as you love high coverage foundations then you will love it

Review :Catrice Made To Stay Eyeshadows

Hello , beauties for my first review i have decided to start with reviewing long lasting eyeshadows simply because i know that these are the products that most people are in the hunt for , and when they are cheap then it's a BONUS and the second reason is because i have hooded eyes and finding long lasting waterproof eyeshadows can be a pain , so this might be extra helpful especially if you have hooded eyes just like me .

Let's get started with the review :
The eyeshadows comes in 6 shades in total , i only own four of them as you can tell from the picture above :

060 Jennifer's Glodrush
040 Lord of the blings
050 Metall of honor
020 Romans gone bad
Romans gone bad (right) is dark grey perfect for a smokey eye and Metall of honor (left) is a dark chocolate brown that makes brown eyes pop! These two colors are the darkest colors of the collection , they have both a smooth consistency that makes blending really easy , you can apply them with both your fingers or a brush but i find that applying them with a" short shader brush" gives a better color payoff .
Lord of the blings (left) is a gorgeous pearly champagne color and Jennifer's gold (right) is light green , these two colors on the other hand has more glitter in them , these are more appropriate for a night out or for daytime if used with a light hand .

Swatches :

(Lord of the blings,Jennifer's glodrush,Metall of honor,Romans gone bad)
The verdict :

Colors: Available in 6 shades

Pigmentation: Very pigmented

Staying power: They stay for a solid 8 hours without creasing nor smudging , if you have hooded eyes you might want to prime first.

Application: Very smooth , better color payoff when applied with a brush.

Package : A classic glass jar but very solid .

These are one of my favorite cream shadows , they are really made to stay , they stay on my lids for a very long time ,easy to apply , and very affordable .
